School of Journalism & Mass Communications

School Policy
Every fall and spring
semesters:

NO LATE ADDS
NO LATE DROPS

Strictly enforced.

I
n all our advertising, journalism and
public relations classes we teach
students the importance of
critical thinking,
advanced planning and
responsible decision-making.

JMC School students MUST plan
their academic schedules carefully
in collaboration with the JMC
School Academic Adviser
Prof. Cynthia Fernald
who offers drop-in advising
Mondays through Thursdays,
fall and spring semesters,
in DBH 125.

NOTE: If a student fails to pay
her or his first tuition installment payment,
SJSU may remove that student
from all
registered classes.

Re-enrollment is not
guaranteed. JMC School policy
does not view this payment
situation as
sufficient grounds to authorize
any late add petitions.

Documentation supporting any
late add/drop
petition is always needed
after SJSU
deadlines have passed.
