"Knowledge is power
IF we never stop
learning and we're not afraid
to talk about diversity candidly & respectfully.
Listening well & being
willing to learn about
another's person's
truth, without judging,
are crucial
if all media is to be
inclusive &
successful."

CRITICAL THINKINGClassmate Special Contributions
- Fall, 2009
One way to
showcase thoughtful class participation in MCOM 105 if doing
unassigned
research to help add to and broaden class study of diversity issues
discussed. Information or
examples sent to the class email account must be pertinent to class
topics and offer all students
access to online information, videos, or campus/local diversity
focused events.
Prof. Rucker will periodically post some unique, timely or helpful
submissions here.

When we started
The Soloist in class yesterday,
I made a note to try to track down a great piece
60 Minutes did
on Mr. Lopez and Mr.
Ayers. I was able to find the
13 minute video on
CBS.com and thought you might be
interested in checking it out.
