Welcome New JMC School Director

Dr. Phylis West-Johnson

Dr. Johnson comes to us from Southern Illinois University
with a distinguished career and great accomplishments in
media and higher education. She also has many years of
experience an academic department chair at SIU.

My colleagues wish her all the best here at SJSU.
It was my decision to step down after 5 1/2 years
as school director. I am thrilled to be returning
to my passion, full-time teaching, and
becoming the new
JMC School Digital Productions Coordinator.

Stay tuned for invites for some fun new media opportunities!

Special thanks to my SJSU colleagues and local friends
for a great "BRAVO" party as a thank you for all my
efforts over the past 5 years as school director.
It was an honor to serve this great program!
